1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to Celiapp ("we," "our," or "us"). These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Celiapp mobile application ("App") and related services. By downloading, installing, or using our App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our App.

2. Description of Service

Celiapp is a mobile application designed to help individuals with celiac disease and gluten sensitivities identify gluten-free products through:

Product scanning and image recognition
Product database and search functionality
User reviews and ratings (safety and taste)
Personalized dietary preference tracking
Community features and product recommendations
The App relies on third-party services including Firebase and RevenueCat, and service availability may be affected by these providers.

3. Supporter Subscription

3.1 Subscription Features

Our "Supporter" subscription provides:

Support for Celiapp's development and mission
Access to upcoming premium features
Lifetime access to all future premium features
Community support for uniting celiacs, brands, and healthcare professionals

3.2 Subscription Terms

Subscriptions are charged through your Apple App Store or Google Play Store account
Payment will be charged to your account upon confirmation of purchase
Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period
You can manage and cancel subscriptions through your App Store or Google Play Store account settings

3.3 Refunds

Refund requests are handled through Apple App Store or Google Play Store according to their respective refund policies
We do not process direct refunds for subscription purchases

4. User Accounts and Content

4.1 Account Creation

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account

4.2 User-Generated Content

You may submit reviews, ratings, and comments about products
You retain ownership of content you create, but grant us a license to use, display, and distribute such content within the App
You are solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of content you submit
We reserve the right to moderate, edit, or remove user content that violates these Terms

4.3 Prohibited Content

You may not submit content that:

Contains false, misleading, or defamatory information
Violates third-party intellectual property rights
Contains harmful, threatening, or harassing material
Promotes illegal activities or substances
Contains spam, advertising, or promotional material

5. Privacy and Data Collection

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Our Rights

The App, including its design, features, and content, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws
Our trademarks, logos, and brand elements may not be used without our written permission

6.2 Your Rights

You retain rights to content you create and submit through the App
You may use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms

7. Disclaimers and Limitations

7.1 Medical Disclaimer

Celiapp is not a medical device or healthcare service
The App provides general information and should not replace professional medical advice
Always consult with healthcare professionals regarding dietary restrictions and medical conditions
We make no warranties about the accuracy of product information or user-generated content

7.2 Product Information

Product information is sourced from various databases and user submissions
We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of product information
Manufacturers may change product formulations without notice
Always read product labels and verify ingredients before consumption

7.3 Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

WE PROVIDE THE APP "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND
WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED $50 OR THE AMOUNT PAID FOR SUBSCRIPTION SERVICES IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS, WHICHEVER IS GREATER

8. User Conduct

You agree to:

Use the App only for lawful purposes
Respect other users and provide honest, helpful reviews
Not attempt to reverse engineer, hack, or disrupt the App
Not create multiple accounts or impersonate others
Not use automated tools to access or interact with the App

9. Termination

9.1 By You

You may stop using the App at any time
You may delete your account through the App settings
Subscription cancellations must be processed through your App Store account

9.2 By Us

We may suspend or terminate your access if you:

Violate these Terms or our Privacy Policy
Engage in fraudulent or harmful activities
Provide false or misleading information

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes through:

In-app notifications
Email notifications (if provided)
Updates to this document with revised effective dates

Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Geographic Restrictions

The App is intended for users in jurisdictions where its use is legal. You are responsible for complying with local laws and regulations.

12. Governing Law and Disputes

12.1 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, regard to conflict of law principles.

12.2 Dispute Resolution

We encourage informal resolution of disputes through our support channels
Any legal disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration or courts in the Province of Ontario
Class action lawsuits are waived to the extent permitted by law

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
